Well, Lets look in June because I can look at dates at the bed and breakfast. Each one has two bedrooms, a fold out couch and 1 bathroom and a kitchen. But Get this if the dates work, I can get up to 3 units at $100 a night. $33 buck each for three or $50 bucks a night for lodging and a place to put the bikes in a safe nieghboorhood. Killer deal in my mind. Moab is the Ideal base camp for anyone wanting to see as much of Southern Utah Red Rock. Maybe Thurs the 28th of june thru the 30th? Head home Sunday. But that is the 4th weekend so I will need to know asap. I will check and everyone or anyone let me know as well.

I worked on that lodging and I may have it for FREE! for everyone (up to 8 possible 10 people) that wants or can join up for a June 27,28-3oth or 1st. Let me know. I know I am in for that thurs-Sat home on Sunday. We don't need a set agenda just a base camp and map out daily rides. So it out there. I also have and old friend that has one or two restaurants in moab. I will see if we could get some tables and maybe a friend discount.

I would just love to ride out there and join you guys. Unfortunately there is a local orthopedic surgeon who is looking at me to assist him in perfecting his trade. I will likely be in recovery for most the summer months. Maybe this could end up being a yearly event.

I was thinking earlier about changing my putt and ride thread to just a Colorado Ride thread and event but I have to let that go too. I also did not know where to plan any rides as I am not familiar with Colorado other than getting lost just outside Fort Collins a few years back. Did not find out where I was until I stopped at a motel for the night and asked the clerk where I was.

It is great travelling by bike with a credit card with substantial credit still, and having no deadline regarding when to be home. Sorry I am missing out.

But unless, someone else takes this and runs with it, the event will be a no go for this year. I will be unfit for duty this year.

Seem to be little interest and response. That sucks. but I know we all have busy schedules. I will let the offer go for another week and cancel the offer. They need to book the B&B and are waiting on me taking it for free.:band: Awe what a nice little rhyme right there. :)

Sounds like it could be fun, but at this point I am not ready to sign on.
Google says Moab is about 750 miles from me if I take the shorter Vegas route.
Add at least 100 one way for a better route through AZ.
Something around this distance needs 10 days - 2 weeks for me. Systems not ready.

Wouldn't mention the periodontal surgeon, but feel like I need to keep up.

I am killing the offer to a point. I have ridden solo most of my riding years. And only done 2 group rides with the GPz1100 group. Good times, but I know scheduling and actual time off dictates rides. I myself can only take a weekend off and possibly tues to make 5 Days or I would be interested in going longer distances for a meetup with any of you. I will take that weekend and take one unit since it is free and only a 5-6hr ride from Salt Lake and I have a friend like I said that has a couple of restaurants in Moab. If anyone wants to join in up to 2 people let me know.

    I just see offer.
    I so late to party.
I so sick and hospital and near death. But back.
Anyway, a ride around that time would be great. There is a rise in South Dakota. Custer area. July 10-13. If you want more info, let me know. I'm not sure my riding schedule then or if I can go, but it will be fun!

    Bubba... Cool.
Boy, I thought I'd be getting notices for additional postings, but hadn't heard anything for a while, and tonight decided to log in and check. Glad I did - I missed a lot.
Home is Tucson, and last year I came up 191 East-AZ (excellent!), hit the corner of CO, then Mexican Hat - Hite - Torrey. So I didn't get to Moab or further north in UT. But I am game!
Where is your home base? If I'm coming from the south, what makes sense for a meet up location? And what dates work best for you?
I'm flexible, but don't want to be too hot, especially when getting back into So-AZ. Last year my timing was 1st week of June and it was pretty ideal.
Feel free to hit my email at "properaz@gmail.com" - - Phil

PS - this March 24th-30th I'll be in Moab for the first time - for the Jeep fest. But I'll be doing a lot of bonding with my mountain bike - heading up with 2 other guys from work. And we'll watch other people with Jeeps doing stupid things.

I really need a road trip. Whatever I end up doing will most likely be flying solo.
But I will try to post up and maybe meet up along the way.
Still cogitating. What to do? And when?

I was lucky and got tickets to Pearl Jam in August, 2018. Will be riding, hopefully, to Seattle. What better place to see PJ?

    Trifecta of problems here.
Duc in shop for longer than I want to think about with electronic voodoo issues.
Husband of my MIL in AZ passed from old age and cancer last week. Not sure what we are doing there.
Work has been slow, which means income is slow.

On the plus side City Sanitation came and took away the possum that croaked in our back yard, no charge.
Thanks, I did not want it in my trash for a week until the next pickup.
I will take that as a good sign. Somehow.
    Still thinking about Bryce. :Hippie:

If you're on the road, don't miss the friday 13th EVENT in July at Port Dover, Ontario. Canada's version of Daytona bike week, more than an event, a phenomenon !

I still have June 29th,30th threw the 3rd of July slated for a trip solo or not. I have the accommodations still for free in Moab, Ut. that week. It may be a little hot but free lodging for up to 2 other people besides myself! Cottage has two bedrooms and a fold out bed in the living room. Glad to hear about the possum, sorry to hear about the rest.

I'll be out that way early Bubba, if I don't ride to Florida.
I'm still deciding on piddling around Western CO/Eastern UT or riding to the Keys Memorial Day Weekend.

When you are available I may be getting ready to head out to SD if it works around some important events here.
If I cannot do SD, I could head out that way at the times you are available.

All depends on what I find out for July. Anyway, things still up in the air. But glad you are planning on going for yourself.

    It will be amazing!
