    Today? I decided it was time to get that ugly dirty front wheel all white again. When I washed it yesterday, teh car wash soap did absolutely nothing to remove all that black shit from the wheel. So I took it off the bake to polish this thing up and get a coat of carnauba on it to help repel the brake dust.

    Naturally the rotors had to come off to give it a good cleaning. All was going great. Took a lot of work though to clean it up but finally got it done and it is all purdy again.

    EXCEPT!

    When I was putting the rotor back on, and torqueing the bolts, one of them broke about a quart inch from the head. Rush to Canadian Tire and purchased an extractor and got the broken off stud out. But this is a long weekend. Motorcycle stores here are closed on Mondays, and Monday being the stat holiday, they will be closed on Tuesday too. No doubt our Honda dealer here will not have the parts in stock so looks like it will be late Wednesday or Thursday before I can get a new set of rotor bolts.

    Sooooo sad.:Sad::Faint:

    What year is your bike? I am going down to Rich's tomorrow back on Tuesday night. If you want I can see if I can source some while down there and bring them back with me.

    I realy appreciate the offer, but Big Top Powersports would be able to get later day or over night delivery of these. If they go on back order, I will jsut get some off the shelf bolts inthe interim. I think while the rotors are off, I will get them measured to see what shape they really are in. Might replace them and might as well put in now pads if I do.

    BTW. You will love the seat and be impressed with Rich and crew. Are you staying at the suite above the shop? It is a nice set up there.

    Decided to change my exhaust.. Now as long as I can figure out why my rear number plate light doesn't work, I'll put it back together...
    I took the baffles out & it sounds fine... lol

    Rode to Pasadena to do a deposition for a client, looked like it went well. Have to say the butt dyno tells me the cat-less headers perform a little bit better, especially when accelerating from low RPMs. The exhaust sound has also changed a little bit too.

    no idea yet - didnt have any wire or a multimeter with me with I was doing the exhaust - the bike is at my mother in laws house.

    But I've now got this installed there as its too big for my house, I'll be able to have some tools there...
