VFR Stolen in San Jose & recovered

    My bike was stolen 3 weeks ago in San Jose near the edge of Los Gatos. Supposedly a great part of town and very safe.

    The police recovered it approximately 5 days later on the other side of town. Of course luggage gone as well as a racks. Idiots must have driven it around for the time they had it because they taped a nail to the Mirror as a splint. They even drilled out the gas tank lock, as well as the ignition, to put in more fuel.

    Yes but Geico is totaling out the bike. I bought it back and it's at GP Motorsports being put back together now

    The fact that some defective human decides to take something that's not their's is really disturbing. Some people's children! At least you have a new track bike.

    congrats on getting it back. sorry they screwed it. I also had a bike stolen and recovered once. it's both good and bad.

    I'll pick it up from the shop tomorrow... Salvage title but should be a decent commuter to run into the ground.

    Now to figure out what to do in regards to insurance?

    i'd go for liability only cheapest option because they aren't going to give you anything in a claim again. May as well run high deductible.
