boy that cleaner made a hell of a difference...

I am too lazy for all that work. I'd just buy the complete one and go ride.

Well the complete one has arrived safe at home and it's currently in "the healing room" waiting for me to begin. I also received a new Pitbull stand for the rear and a battery for the new VFR. Lots of work to do and the garage door opener just shit the bed, adding a few more hours of work and expense to the week. :chaingun:

Thanks for the input! I've actually got a product called Plastifix and so far I'm quite impressed with what it can do. You can even make molds and fabricate missing tabs and such with this stuff so it will make this rebuild possible. I also purchased a hardware lot off e-bay that had a bunch of fairing and specialty fasteners in it, so I'm almost there with the hardware challenges. At this point I have a complete set of rear fairings intact that just need paint so that's a load off. The front uppers are where the real work will be and now that my 91 VFR is on the road, I can get back to this one, so watch for updates as she comes together. Of course my wife doesn't understand why I don't just part it out at this point but that could take a very long time so I'd rather just build it and sell it whole even though they aren't worth much these days.

Well, I'm currently 'allowed' 12 motorbikes so I'd suggest that I'm not doing too badly - lol

Technically my limit is how many I can get into "my" garage (we have two single car garages) and as long as I don't gain any debt obtaining and maintaining them, I'm allowed to get as many that comply with this agreement. Right now 3 is the number...technically there is 4th and it's in her garage but it's not a permanent fixture and should be moving on to the new owner soon.

I would say that you are what we would call in the aviation business, a "Fleet Leader"

I would hang on to that lady nice and tight BTW.

Top marks to you on this resurrection of a fine old bike. I'd love to see pictures of the finished bike.
