    Got a spare seat from a motorcycle wrecker. Mounted the base plate of the GIVI on the passenger seat with three bolts. Great for Helmet or other light storage around the city. I wish this was my idea, but it's not. I saw another VFR with this setup, so I thought I'd give it a try. works great. Tighten the bolts enough so the seat foam is compressed and the trunk is stable. Interesting, how stable is it?
    Also, where in Canada are you?

    I think it's good for light items, nothing too heavy. pretty stable, but remember the seat base is made of plastic so there is not a lot of strength, so I would keep the weight to 10 lbs or less. I live in the Vancouver Area. riding season is coming to an end here. riding in the rain is not much fun.

    Ugly. Looks like one of those Chinese take-out delivery bikes. Please reconsider.

    yer right, it is kinda ugly, but it holds 6 beer, and a bottle of tequila. My Saddlemen Performance seat however is NOT ugly.

    I agree your Sadddleman seat looks nice. I got a Sargeant seat for my VFR with a profile that is a lot like yours. It makes a definite improvement on the end-of-day-butt front.

    I keep my six pack and/or champagne bottle in a full-size tank bag. It offers a lower center of gravity than your Givi box and the essentials are in easier reach. But at least you've got your priorities straight. Ride on!

    Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm thinking a six pack and a heavy champagne bottle in a tankbag would not offer a lower center of gravity, just a more foreword weight bias. I just can't figure out how you can wave to other bikers with the bottle in your left hand, unless maybe you have a throttle lock. But you are sure right in your comment about easier access. I threw my back out at 180 kph while trying to reach for that last beer. :-}

    I kinda like it. I still have my OEM seat. But a problem for me would be swinging my leg over while trying to get on the bike. Old buggers like me have difficulty getting one and off these bikes. Scratch most of this for may part. I am getting a new bike anyways hopefully in the summer.
