the small one is a drain from the fuel filler pocket and should only leak fuel if the filler area has been flooded or from rainwater.

So ive been driving again. Made sure i didnt leak and plugged the top hole. Also made some pics of the spark plugs, and it looks like its running rich. Was able to drive 120 km and it has a little bit of fuel left. So still pretty darn bad[IMG][IMG]

no, i don't think that plug shows an over-rich condition as the center electrode is white. it's normal for the base ring to be dark and 1 or 2 threads above.

I can buy a second hand thermostat and complete carb set for about €100 hoping that replacing the entire carb set and the thermostat would fix it

    Good or bad idea Squirrelman?

So i figured before i buy things, i should check out the pilot screws. And every screw was out 3 full 360 turns! Why

So i set it to 1 turn 3/4 and it starts up far easier now. Idle still a bit rough but its shit weather so not bothering with a test ride to let her warm up

Filled up the tank with some fresh gas, and now we'll see where we'll get. Still thinking the water pipe is leaking from inside the tank so still have that plugged. Will take it off and see what comes out, if its just water or also gas

So another member from the dutch forum pointed out that the RC36 pilot screws are on the side. But on my bike their on the bottom near the engine boots. So i figured out that i have RC36II carbs. why i wouldn't now.

OK, "wrong" carbs could use excessive fuel, and those could maybe be gen4 carbs ?

    (i'm not sure they're interchangeable.)

Apparently they are, im quite confident these are from a gen4 the diafram caps are also black as on the rc36 II i'm going to moniter the fuel consumption right now with the pilot screws adjusted.

My 93 bike gets worse than 31 miles per gallon when I am at triple digit speeds and WOT for miles and miles out here in the everglades. My low gas gauge comes on at 101, I think I get 26 miles to the gallon. ? Used t-stat is like worse or like buying used underware, have been known to buy used/vintage t-shirts though. Don't tell any of my fans. LOL HI ICE-HUNCHIN heart.
