    Hi guys,
I´m living in the south of Germany next to the most perfect areas to ride.
    My first VFR was a 3rd gen in 1990 and now I´m riding my 4th - a 6th gen.
I really love that bike and I´ll probably never give it away even so she´s got a rival last year.
It´s my Africa Twin from ´94.
Btw. I started riding motobikes in ´83 and stuck to Honda all the time.

Guten tag. I was stationed in Germany during the dark ages. Wanted a bike so bad, but our base commander
wouldn't allow it. A new Triumph Bonneville was about $700, about 2 1/2 months wages. Oooh, would that have been fun.

Hi and welcome to the Madhouse:Welcome:.

The tip over protection and luggage carriers on the Africa Twin suggest it is already ready for some serious riding.

As for the 6th gen perhaps another photo would go down well - although the speedo looks very familiar. When you come across the likes of Randy you will realise that at 50,000km your VFR is barely run in... so just keep up with the servicing and that bike will cross the continent with ease provided you sort out the charging system.

If you are ready to test out either bike on a longer trip, I will be just one of a hundred+ riders heading for the Vosges mountains for a long weekend September 13-16. Along with riders from Norway, UK, Germany and Switzerland, we will be checking out this fabulous region led by some local riders who really know the area well and better still the kind folks at the Rouge Gazon mountain top resort have been brave enough to act as our base. PM if you want to know more.

    Take care ATGATT

Hi SkiMad, sorry for my late reply.
Lot´s of work in the last weeks.
I´ve put a pic of me and the VFR in this post.

It is my 4th VFR over all and the 3rd 6th gen.
My first was a 3rd gen in 1990.
I did more than 100.000 km with it.
So the reliability of the bike is well known to me.
I just had a single issue with the charging system on my 3rd gen after 70k and no problem at all with my 6th gens so far.

    I love travelling with it.
It´s very comfy and fast enough for long trips.
If I make vacations it´s always with one of my bikes.
Only that I don´t do camping anymore - I´m not getting younger. ;)

Have a great weekend and thanks for the invitation for September.

    Take care
