Fink, I really don't know. I have a usb charger running under the seat from the battery and into the tank bag. I can charge up to three devices at once. I was just seeing what you guys use. I just ordered the little cams that OOTV just bought. $11.88 each for the hell of it. I was really looking at the Sena 20s. I do not ride currently with others, but like the idea of the ability to use my phone, music and communicate with other riders while riding with bluetooth. it offers headset speakers and mic.So if shit occurs again I can call while recording any adverse incident to law enforcement, or god forbid if I am able to call for help medically being connect to my phone I can if cell service is in range. The cost is $269. I just don't know and am fishing for advice. Thanks

The sena is a communications system. Can't comment on it as I use an autocom system which is Bluetooth to my garmin sumo 590. Through it I can listen to music and talk on phone.

What the hell was I thinking?, I thought it was a "Three" in one system, Video, Audio and communication unit. I thought is was an upgrade from the Sena 10c. Thank you for correcting me. If you are a father "Happy Father's Day" to you. Thanks again. It's been one hell of a couple of weeks for me. I will focus more next time I post.

The SENA 10C is a camera and COMM system. It is targeted towards Moto Vloggers.
The two cameras on my 6 Gen are waterproof and have special power cables that seal out the weather. If you're clever, you can rig up a power cable to the bike that is protected a well. I have actually ridden in the rain, not a total down pour but enough that had these not been waterproof cameras and power connections, it probably would have been a different story.

The rear camera has its power connection under the seat, the front one is behind the fairing enough not to get directly rained on but could get wet if it is really coming down. This is something I'm going to look into changing.

OOTV. Do you have a link to your cameras.

I was unaware the 10c had a camera. So apologies to bubba. The ones my mates have don't.

I got them from GearBest but have not seen them listed there in a while. I usually get emails from GearBest and will peruse their selection when I do. That's how I found those really cheap SQ-11 cameras but have not seen the flashlight camera in a while.

That being said, the one I bought is a "knock off" of the SooCoo S20WS (probably made in the same factory) and looks to still be available from them. http://www.soocoo.cc/soocoo-s20w-ac...-wide-angle-waterproof-mini-appearance-p.html

I actually found a SooCoo on eBay and bought it before I bought the second knock off camera to see if it was any different, but when I received the camera, it was defective. The eBay seller gave me my money back and didn't ask for the camera back. I emailed SooCoo to see if it could be repaired but never heard back from them. Been too wrapped up in other things to try and hound them on it.

One thing about this camera is the mounting setup is a little weak and that is why I went with the Ram Mount setup I have. It's way more secure and worlds better stability wise.

No need to apologize, hell I thought the 20s did. I thought it was a upgraded system.

Thanks for the cover, I just assumed that that the 10c to 20s was an upgrade.

So it looks like INNOVV has a replacement for the C3 camera I have with a much better specification. I'll probably be updating to this one real soon. Almost the same as what I have now but looks to be a little more rugged (waterproof DVR), comes with a power controller, longer record time (19 hours with 128GB MicroSD card), Wi-Fi capable and a phone app. The camera lens cable also comes in 3 different lengths, 1.8m, 3m, 5m, so placing the DVR more out of harms way will be even easier no matter what bike you have. Current list price is $198, so still a bit cheaper than a GoPro. Not doging GoPro, just most people compare cameras to them. Most likely I'll be putting my C3 cameras on the Ducati, as this is the only bike I have yet to put cameras on.

It's been a year and a half since the last post. Any updates, or new recomendations? I'm looking for options.
Leaning towards a GoPro Hero type, because in part, I also want to use it to record video and time lapse of work projects like this one that I recorded with my tablet.

I like the GoPro like cameras because they can be attached or mounted to almost any solid object, and because they can handle dirt, dust mud, water, and the occational bump or drop. But which one?

What are you using, and would you post a photo of how you mount it?

I purchased a $35 knock off, and recorded a short video. Took it back because the resolution was very grainy/ poor quality. Needless to say (but I will anyway) it was not what I am looking for. I don't want to have an irritating outcome to the video.

I have the Drift Ghost. Awesome little camera. In the past I used my VIO POV camera, but got fed up with the cable from the camera to the recording box.
Back to the Ghost. Good quality, screen on the side to check setup is straight and level. Loads of custom setup from filming to still shots and you have the remote. Go to VFRV4 on youtube to see some of my recordings.
Oh, and the support from Ghost is amazing. I lost my remote, shipped me a new one for free, I just paid the postage....

I have a Sony AS300V, the cheaper verion of the FDR X3000.
I bought it 2 years ago, ran it to wind and weather (lot's of rain and salt) with the rear open to plug in the external 3.5mm mic (no adapter needed unlike GoPro).
Still working fine and the quality is still perfect.

No waterproof case, only taped up front microphone inputs to keep out the water.

Sits on the side of my helmet, and is also lower profile than Gopro's that dangle and become an airbrake, turning your head left or right wherever you mounted your camera.

I still think that, based on video quality and smoothness, that GoPro is #1, Sony is #2 and then Drift #3.
Check out my channel for some test video, like the "talking about my new bike" one, side of the helmet, external mic quality.
Don't bother using it for onboard because it's unusable.
