    Hey Guys,

So I'm pretty much done getting my 02 up to snuff. I've replaced the chain and sprockets, swapped out the oil, removed to aftermarket exhaust and power commander, got rid of the K&N Air and oil filters, swapped out the brake fluid, I'm down to my two last things: Coolant change and fork fluid change.

I did fork oil changes on my old Magna, but I think the procedure is different on the VFR. The magna was simply pulling the drain plug and then filling back up through the fork cap. Is that the same here?

Nope, no drain plugs. If you want to do a thorough job, pull the forks off, dump out the old, flush, and
replace with new. While it's apart check springs for sag, and worn parts. You might want to replace the
springs if you notice excessive sag, or have to really run the spring adjustments down.

Thanks. The magna is a different type of bike and definitely simpler to deal with. Either way, no big deal. I finally found the Info I needed on the fork oil replacement. Should have read 5 or 6 pages further than I thought I did!

Seems straight forward enough. I'll check the springs against spec for sure while I'm in there.
