i have a issue... i cant seem to figure out why the fuel pump wont prime.. the relay is new, and the pump is in working order.. wires and grounds are good.. from what i have checked the ignition, stand, and kill switch are all good. ive replaced the wiring harness and computer.. still no solution.. what am i missing to check?? i also have a 96 vfr with the same problem... everything works besides the pump..it has power. but it wont prime when i try to start it... what could it be?

So is the pump operating but doesn't draw fuel or is it just dead silent? I ask because the fuel should gravity feed to the pump inlet so it should prime no problem. It should then build pressure, forcing fuel to the float bowls till the floats shut the needle valves.

The only time I can hear the pump on my 3rd gen is when the system runs dry.

ive tested 2 pumps and 2 relays, all are operational. the problem is that i can only get it to work with a jumper wire bypassing the relay, sending power directly to the pump.
