So I admit it. I forget to cancel my turn signals more often than I want to admit. It’s not all the time, but it is enough. I decided to pick up a Smart turn signal system (STS) and install it. One of the things they were VERY specific about was that you should not wire it direct to the battery (I assume there is a draw) and that you should use the ignition wires. Can someone tell me which wires they are referring to? I’m looking at the wiring diagram in the shop manual, but I’m not sure which ones to splice into. Sorry if this is a noob question. With electrical I kind of AM a noob and totally own it!
Never mind, I found the wire I needed. It was Brown/Blue off the turn signal switch for power. Ha... I knew I wasn’t looking at this right last night. Glad I stopped so I could rethink it.
Its a great feeling when u can figure out yourself. Thanks for letting us know about that wire. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Yeah man, no worries. For the sake of closing this out. I totally recommend the Smart Turn System (STS). It works exactly as advertised and the I'm really digging it. The wiring diagram included is accurate for the gen6 VFR, it just doesn't show the power source.
