Good morning everyone. How we all doing? I have just got a 2004 vfr800, after finally admitting that a gsxr750 does not suit my riding needs (or abilities). Loving the vfr. Much more comfortable but still good fun. She is a little tatty in places, but nothing that can't be fixed. Joined the forum to get the best advice possible on any issues that might ( and probably will) pop up.

Welcome to The World! I’m sure you can get the answer to just about any question you have on these bikes, just be careful of the wrath you receive if you ask what oil or tire you should use. Cheers!

Hello Jay .... welcome to the site

Bike looks good nothing that won’t polish out

To get the exhaust like new with minimal effort use Autosol Blue Remover, it’s dilute phosphoric acid in a gel, so eye & skin protection is definitely required

It converts the iron oxide in a form that you can just wipe off, takes seconds to work ....those pipes will take about 5 minutes maximum

Thanks for the advice. Last owner swapped the original exhaust for some loud carbon look ones. Should be getting the originals back this weekend and will see about putting them back on, as I think they look a lot better.
