    who's got the definitive word on what a 6th gen VFR battery voltage should read on a voltmeter installed on the bike?

    13.0 - 13.2 at 68* F - That is fully charged, at rest. FSM supplied figures. I can see this going way sideways....

    ok House, I HATE (ha-ha) your use of acronyms and unfinished sentences...FSM = factory Service Manual, right?..."going way sideways, means???
    So, if my 2009 VFR is reading 12.4 at idle I should start looking for a new stator, again? Already had to change it at 50,000kms and now I'm at 86500kms, damn Honda! How could they have engineered such a weakness and not QUICKLY taken care of it? Boggles the mind...take care, ride safe

    I'll add the link when I get to my desktop, but search for "the drill" on charging system testing. Could be a bad stator or R/R or both or even the battery. 12.4v is def low.
