These pictures have been a while coming but the downside of sometimes taking a weekend off is that you come back to even more work than you left. Was going to try and do a short write up, but havent had the time and delaying even further would mean these pictures never get posted. Take off point for me. Some last minute changes on the home front meant I was over an hour late leaving to meet up with Bubba, but he was gracious enough to wait up for me. Our first stop to get the first meal of the day Finally got to base camp at Delta, Colorado. Quick run to Walmart to pick up some supplies. Funny waves from Bubba and Igrok WIth nothing better to do, a quick visit to a nearby bar later that night...Hmm.. did i miss the photo bomber in the background? Didn't know we had fans. Our base camp... really chill cabin. Headed out for our first ride to the Blue Mesa Dam A quick roadside conference to discuss God knows what... No ride is complete without a gas stop... Blue Mesa Dam ....pictures continue in next post
Sunday saw us heading back to Utah.. but we decided to ride through the Grand Mesa Mountain... Heading out... Somewhere on the top of the Grand Mesa. GPS puts us at over 10,00 feet. FIngers were freezing and we couldn't wait to get back down. Grand Junction Colorado.. and some nourishment Home Sweet Home. And its a wrap. Another 700 miles gone and already looking forward to the next trip...
Ok that is it, Picture ban on Bubba from here on out. I should have edited your pics. I look like an old cop in N.Y. that cant walk a mile. Thank god I did not have my leather jacket on in any of these or for sure I do! Good trip- though short! We did eat Rocky Mt. Oysters, though in beef country and not the traditional ones being sheep testicals and still served with cocktail sauce. It was more like fried beef liver slices.
