I just installed a set of helibars on my gen 6 and when I turned it on the only thing on the display is the clock.

Turn singles and horn work, headlites, temp, fuel gauges do not. Bike starts and run.

    Ideas?

    Thanks

    on further review,,,,,

when fitting helis it is possible to tighten the master cylinder just slightly off so that the base of the brake light terminal touched the bar. resulting short takes out the fuse to the instruments.

Who the hell came up with the idea of hiding the fuse box in such a place that you could never change a fuse in the gas station lot or on the side of the road? this location is stupid!

This! I was going to say this but you beat me to it. Glad you found it right away. It took me a couple of blown fuses to figure this out. Mostly because I had not changed anything on the bike and out of the blue, POP! fuse blows, I replaced it, went a few miles down the road and dash was off and another fuse was blown.
