Looking for OEM stator for 6th gen 2007: found them at www.bikebandit.com
    Anyone have opinions on bikebandit?
Are they a good source for OEM stators?
Is the Honda dealership the best place to buy a replacement stator?

When it comes to stators, OEM is your best option. I would go aftermarket on the regulator / rectifier. MOSFET, and Shindengen are what you are looking for in an RR. The "best to buy" one, is the one with the lowest price. Be cognizant of the fact that the part is truly an OEM part, with OEM part number. Also factor in what the shipping, if any, is going to be added into the price. Developing a relationship with a local dealer is positive, but it has to be a two way street.

Dealers will deal with you on cost, I typically bring the part number, part description, and best internet price to them, then see if we can work something out. Utilize online parts fiche references to gather the required info. That's a big plus, because you know EXACTLY what you are getting. If the order gets dicked up, it's on you. If it has to be ordered, the dealer won't charge you shipping...at least mine doesn't.

Normally, a happy medium can be reached, and you get the added benefit of having a local "go to" person. Supporting your local folks is a good thing, as long as it's a mutually beneficial relationship.

    About 30k miles.
Sadly, my stock OEM stator cooked and failed. Very disappointing.

I got rid of my stock RR. I've upgraded to mosfet and crimp connected the stator to it. I probably should have routed the stator wires around the front (to get them some air flow to help cool them)--instead I followed the OEM wire routing for the stator through the engine.

I've ordered from Bikebandit. They are good. Ronayers is usually a little cheaper.

I just bought mine from partzilla.com. Send time time I’ve ordered from them, no complaints.
