Does anyone happen to have an OEM top case not mounted, or some insight as to the dimensions of the collars in this pic?

I suppose i can just test fit the thing and trial and error spacers until i get the thing in about the same spot the factory grab rails sit... I've got all the other hardware in the used setup i bought, just not those 4 dang doodles.

I'm gonna give it a go manana and maybe the factory handles have the spacers, doesn't look like it from the diagrams, but we'll see...

Whelp, i got her done. I have the factory side cases and racks, so no collar needed it seems like. The side case brackets act as the collar it seems, and the used rack i cut was already trimmer to fit that it seems. Got lucky on ebay, doesn't look like the cleanest job, but who cares.

Now on to the bad part. I don't have the brackets that are supposed to attach at the rear of the side cases, so i need to figure out the hole to hole distance these are supposed to side, whip something up, and make it a little more sturdy.

The micron exhaust sounds great, but it looks like whoever installed the thing let it self clearance itself on the bodywork

And they also let it become a structural support for the side bags. So yeah i want to get the side rails mounted right with a bracket out back taking the load, loosen the exhaust, and tighten it all back up in a better configuration.

Also looks like it's time to replace the fuel pump fuse, and clean every connector i can get my hands on like i did to my 86. This one was somehow not blown.

I went ahead ordered a few things to do while i'm in there. SH847 kit from roadstercycle since i love it on my 86, should take load off the already spotty wiring. Thermostat and gasket, as it takes forever to warm up, my buddy is the PO and he confirmed that in winter the thing takes foreverrrrrr. VTR fan since this thing runs hot hot hot in traffic when it finally does warm up, i wear an aerostich suit so the heat on my leg aint no thang.

If anyone has info on the rear bracket, or other common things to swap out on a 30k miles bike to do while i'm in there, i'm all ears.
