Hot Switch for Auxiliary Lights

    Hi, I'm hooking up some driving lights to my '99 and need a hot switch other than the high/low beam/turn signals. Can someone help?

    Unsure what you're looking for here. Any auxiliary lights need to be fed via a relay, so the current draw through the switch will be minimal. If you want the driving lights to be on when either high or low beam is on, you need to pick up on the blue/white lead that runs between the light switch on the right grip and the hi/lo switch on the left. Power for the lights (via the relay) should either come direct from the battery via a fuse, or from the black/red feed to the existing headlight relays.

    If your looking for a switched ignition connection to power a relay for your lights, then either the feed TO the front or rear brake light switch would be ideal. I prefer to use the rear as its closer to the battery for the relay.

    Hey Guys, I got everything working and thought I'd show you my setup. The plus of mounting on the forks is the lights turn wherever you turn. The minus (maybe) is the vibration and jarring from being mounted so low. I'm toying with the idea of mounting them on the fairing, upside down, beneath the headlights. They'd be kinda stealth, hidden from sight. Although, do you think there might be clearance problems if I hit a dip in the road?
