Installed a radiator guard on my '14. Was able to do it without removing the fairings (barely). Wanted to get this in place before my 1500 mile round trip to WV next week.[IMG]

I once said online I was going to WV and was told not to and to be very careful in the "outback" of the place. My research confirmed the warnings. FWIW. Maybe you have family there though.....

Well, I've removed all the anti-Trump stickers from my bike , and plan to behave myself. We're staying 3 nights in Elkins - which is described as a WV "cultural center". I'm looking forward to it - the roads look amazing, and for the most part I find that "people are just people" if you don't provoke them. I'll report back on how it goes.

Safer there than in Downtown Portland with a MAGA hat.

Perhaps I should put a MAGA sticker on my helmet and bike for the trip!

I'm 3 for 3 on vfr's that have had the starter relay connector melted... my 86/96/06 all had it. Do the 16's have the same garbage wiring? Gimme a few years so i can buy one used and i'll have owned one from every decade with shitty wiring :p
    [IMG]

Just ordered a new one from cycleterminal, will wait to install my series style reg/rec and clean up all the connectors until that replacement comes in. I did go ahead and redo that fuelpump fuse with a waterproof holder, but i have a feeling i'll redo and relocate that thing when i'm digging into the wiring with the body panels off and have better access to things. It's rideable for now at least since i cleaned that connector up, just don't trust it for long trips.

Took a spin by road america and the back roads to see if both the sargent seat and my bell SRT modular helmet was an improvement to the OEM seat and my old LS2 modular helmet , yes and yes great investment for me at least.

Got the oem rack i found on ebay mounted, my bike rack on, and my cheapie givi top box i found locally on and took it for a spin. Feels like having a passenger on the back, nothing crazy.

Gave £300 to the tyre fitters to replace my T30’s with some T31’s ...noticeably quicker turn in with the different tread pattern

I need to take more pics, but honestly it was super easy. Make sure your rear rack is beefy, everything has threadlocker on it, and make sure you just the load strap that goes up to the passenger peg or somewhere not at the rack mounts for safety.

This place is where I got mine, they were very helpful. There are different types, and videos for each kind. You could easily replicate this if you have a welder, but for me the off the shelf made in america solution was worth the cost.

Just wanted to follow up and report that I made it back unscathed from WV. Had a great tour - 6 days 1400 miles. Excellent curvy roads in WV and beautiful scenery. Generally found the locals to be friendly and outgoing. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Put the front wheel back on with a new tire last night. Bleeding the brakes and clutch this weekend then riding to W. NC in a few days. Not a good place to ride with sub-par anything going on with the bike. Great place to ride with a little skill and during the week.

Ridden it after a week of not riding the viffer. It was at the shop getting the valves done, expensive service, but it's noticeable!
The VTEC transition is a lot smoother after getting the valves checked. 2 VTEC valves needed a change.
Feels weird after riding a Deauville for a week, it feels so small and so nimble!

Started preparing it's spot in the living room. Winter is here and the roads are salted, so it has had it's last ride of the season.
Now it's time to take it apart, give it a proper service and deep cleaning and get it ready for spring.
