Alright, so I’ve worked on cars only. This whole bike mechanic thing is new. I picked up an 84 interceptor 500 with smoke coming from the exhaust. It has 28,000 miles on it and I don’t really know anything about it. It looks like it’s been cared for aesthetically, but oil is coming out of the valve cover gasket and it’s all around a little caked up. [IMG]

Smoke OUT of the exhaust or OFF of the exhaust? You really want the answer to be OFF.

Valve stem oil seals is the first thing that springs to mind ? If it's blue coming from the exhaust ?
