Has anyone any experience of top sellerie seats?

I see they have an offer of free gel inserts for Sept, deluxe seat would be costing about 420 euros delivered.

also looking at a sargent seat, it comes in 2 pieces and I'm not sure how the front part stays attached if used on it's own unless the seat cowl is meant to trap it in place which doesn't seem like a great idea.

I have a Sargent seat and LOVE it. Major improvement over stock. the cowl locks it in place if not using the rear seat. When the rear seat is installed, there are two plastic tabs that hold the front seat to the rear and it has never moved or given me issues.

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the sargent, have you got any pics?
top sellerie is working out cheaper but I find the ordering process confusing with them. thing about the sargent is I can sell the seat separately if I ever sell my vfr, (can't see me ever selling this bike though.)
top sellerie modifies your own seat or sells you a seat on a copy of the vfr base they make themselves far as I can find out.

Beautiful bike and seat tsjoe007, did you modify the seat or just add the new cover?

Just replaced the cover because the stuffing was still ok.
It seems they now have a version (of a cover) with gel too.
Installation was half an hour job.
    Succes !

As you can see on the next pic the rear seat cowl still fits but I trimmed it a bit so that it follows the curve of the seat, much neater.
That was also a reason for me to opt for a cover : when you buy another seat the cowl doesn't fit anymore.

Here are some pics. I hope it's enough to see the Sargent. Sorry that none of them were clearly focused on just showing the seat.

Brilliant that's perfect, I really like the looks of the sargent, it's expensive but it's on my wish list now.

One thing to remember is that you cannot use the rear seat and cowl together. To install the seat cowl, the rear seat must be removed and left at home.

That's a really nice job I'm very tempted, and thanks for the tip about the cowl. It looks more sculpted did you need to supplement the padding?

@Rio800 : well, the pic above shows the cowl before the trimming. I don't have any after.
Just take a fine marker and draw a smooth line on the cowl, take a dremel and trim (best to do it in small steps).
I didn't add anything to the existing foam base of the seat : the cover is shaped with sharper lines than the original cover that's why it seems to be a bit steeper and thicker.
And if you accidentally trim a bit too far, you can also camouflage it with a small black (or transparant) plastic car door trim guard molding.
