Came out nice. Flatter and more comfy. Worth the effort.

Looks good. A couple years back mine was wearing badly on the welts so I took the plunge and had a custom seat with a gel insert done by Rick's Custom Upholstery . Was a little pricey but in my opinion, worth the expense. Especially if you tend to do long rides and tours which I do. Rich was meticulous when padding and shaving the foam, sending me out for test rides several times until it was just right.

I think yours is really cool in that you covered the passenger seat portion with a pretty good match of colour to the bike. No more worrying about the seat cowl if you like the look, and I do. Good on you.

Yep, got the cover and gel pad from Luimoto. Bought a staple gun and a utility knife and followed their dirctions. Surprisingly easy if a little time consuming (bout 3 hrs, 2 beers!) But the cover is so well made it fits perfectly with no wrinkles and little effort. Costing less than half of a new seat and being able to customize the padding to my likes, well worth it!

    How's your butt, Camp? ;)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a cover like yours but in silver.

Still one of the best changes I've made. Luimoto fit and finish is top quality tho there's a little work involved to do the gel pad right. And thank you, my butt is just right :)
