Are they higher compression? Speaking of which, can the RC26 engine have its head milled to increase compression? Dave Dodge does not think so.

Who did the porting work? How much more HP do you think you'll get. I'm going to have DDR do a port and polish, and cam regrind this winter. Just wondering what you think.

You might want to think twice before dealing with Dave Dodge now a days. The guy has gone off the deep end. You can read about it here:=http://v4hondabbs.com/index.php?topic=59381.0 just checked the url I put down. You can't get to it unless your a member of the site. sorry It's really to large a post to copy and paste. Join the site it's free then search on Dave Dodge.

Hate to see anybody else get hurt by him.

Dickypalm are those pistons old stock or is Wiseco still making?

Yes you can skim the cylinder block but the cam carriers and gear cassette need to be shimmed up by the same amount, I'm planning to skim 0.7mm with std pistons on this first engine, that will give me 11:1 comp ratio.

The pistons are Wiseco and were specially made for American Honda back in 87, these are not available now. They are 71mm which I can only assume were illegal for 750class as this means 770cc.

NF1 part numbers are not available anywhere they were just in someones garage for many years.

Bump...I sold my 86 VFR700. However, I still have the 750 engine I've been working on. I'm porting and polishing the head and trying to figure out how to lighten up the spinning parts. looking for another good example of a 2nd gen to put the engine in. I do have a 2008 now, not quite the same.
