Not sure where to post so I'll start here.

A while back I started down the road of getting more power out of my 86 VFR750. I did some research and really got to the point of starting the port and polish of the heads and other typical hot rod stuff. The project stalled out when I had to deal with some $$ via the wifey.

Now I'm doing a circle back to the project. Previously, I did not know of the Honda Powerup Race kit, so I was guessing on some stuff. What I would like to do is ask if anybody has access to one of these and or knows the specs from one. I'm looking for valve size, intake port size, exhaust port size, carb size, compression ratio, cam specs (duration, lift, degree timing), ignition timing, pretty much anything on the engine that was changed for go fastness. I had found a few shops that could replicate some of the parts and weld and re-grind the cams to anything. They can also make new pistons to any demissions and crown shape, to increase bore and compression.

Also what was changed to lighten up the rotating mass...if anything.

What I have found, all the docs on this board and others about the kit, however, they did not give all the specs.

If I make progress, I'm more than willing to share what I find.

To answer the question why? Because I'm stuck in the 80's, it's a cool bike, and RC30's are $45000.00 now.

    thanks

    I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about.

If your current engine configuration, i.e. cam profiles etc., stops making power at the standard redline of 11.5k, this box is basically worthless. You can save yourself the money and invest that money into engine components, put it on a dyno, and just use one of these - https://www.bikeside.de/IGNITECH-pr...KER-TCIP4-STD-for-HONDA-VFR-750-RC24-36-85-97

Can be programmed with a laptop, after you do the engine mods.

Crazy talk here...there is an Rc30 engine for sale on fleebay for ~6000.00 tempting to get and put into 2nd gen. Add some simple suspension, wheel, swingarm and brake upgrades and you have a poor mans RC30!
