Nothing beats some classic Nordic music when working on bikes here in the cold north.
And it's hard to find a better example than this masterpiece.

Got a great movie for us old guys:

I used to live on the other side of the hill from Laurel Canyon, but that was much later then when this took place.

    I streamed it from Netflix.

I have no video but there exists... somewhere...a cassette tape from my grade 10 year of myself and the group I had doing Bastille Day and 2112... poorly. Suitable for laughs.

Now that would be a time warp.
Better of had hair past the shoulder and bell bottoms.

    Wow gave me goosebumps.
We didn’t know how great we had it, especially with music.
Sure glad I went to at minimum 3 concerts a month, oh and don’t forget the 4 finger lid for $10

When I was 15 and living at home in NJ, went to CA to visit with my cousin and her husband at El Toro (1959). I used to ride their Moped from El Toro to Newport Beach. As an east coast boy I couldn’t believe how the Beach Boys really depicted CA.

I don't think they are that big outside of Europe. But they are definitely one of the best acts around for pure artistic metal. Few voices can match the intensity and passion that Jari brings.

They are also part of what I call the "Royal Family" of Nordic metal.
Their drummer, Kai, is also the drummer in Nightwish. Marco, the bass player/ male vocals of Nightwish, is also the lead vocals of Tarot. The lead vocals in Nightwish, Floor Jansen, has a daughter with her partner Hannes van Dahl, who is the drummer of Sabaton.

So that's 4 of my favourite bands (and the backbone of Nordic metal) connected.
I'm just waiting for a joined tour.

Doc that is a shit ton of concerts! I think I have seen Jeff Beck around 20 times. Absolutely amazing. When I was at the University of Florida we use to go to parties in Tom Pettys old home. His cousin took care of it, epic times.

I saw him once, in college. The bands came to the basketball stadium.
I don't think there were any words sung until the last tune.
I probably forget, that seems unlikely.
Then he / they sang going down down down down down. :)

Walked out with my mouth hanging open. Just stunned. Awesome. :band:

Your probably right about the singing. There have been concerts with no singing. Usually he has a female that sings a few songs in a few sets. There are a lot of really great guitarist, Roy Buchanan, Hendrix,Page, Clapton, Duane Allman, Satrani, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Knofler......... but Beck is on an entirely different level. Satrani may be called the Alien but but IS an alien. lol
I read in Guitar magazine many years ago an article about Jeff Beck learning to play with finger picks from Chet Atkins. "It was a bloody fucking mess!" He took them off and started just using his fingers. Never looked back. He trims his nails to a certain length so he can catch the string just so, and then roll his finger in concert with the pluck in varying degrees. All of his fingers doing this as he rips. Alien.

Would of been epic to see Beck and Rod Stewart last year since I’ve never seen either.
