Hello VFR folk, glad to be a part of your community!
I am just reviving my 1984 vf750f, it has been in a deep slumber for a number of years now at the back of the garage. Itching to ride it this year. I have had it about 12 years now, and need to show it some love. When I bought it, the used bike market here around Toronto, Ontario CA, was crazy, bikes sold the same day they were listed. It certainly is not a pristine bike, but all the fun was still there. My wife took an interest in riding, and then we were two up, and putting some miles on.
Time passed, and my wife thought I could afford something that looked a little less worn, shall we say. I am not one for stopping when I ride, so the coffee shop opinions didn’t matter to me, but I heeded her advice. Found a beautiful fire engine red VFR (2008?), at a dealer. Matching bags, low miles, get in the car honey..
Get to the dealer, yeah that sold 30 minutes ago. But! We have this lovely touring bike right here, even the same colour (kind of). Now this was a BMW dealer, so I became the proud owner of a 2001 R1150rt. Great bike, beautiful to look at and ride, comfy for my 50+ years arse, but I need that 750 out again! Cheers!

    Nice!! Welcome!

I hear ya on Spring, but I have been able to get out for some short rides in upper 40 to upper 50(!) degree weather the last few weeks. Well, before the snow... and sand :(

2song, 84 750 was my first street bike, red of course and out the door for $5k.
Laguna 10 times, CO, OR, Tahoe and a few other destinations I can’t remember.
Perfect bike to learn street riding that did everything great.
Sure would love to ride one again.
