I am considering putting DMr suspension on my 2000 VFR this spring and am looking for a good shop in the Denver or Boulder area to take the bike to. I have lived in Boulder for about 18 months and picked the bike up in the fall so I am not very familiar with what is available. I also need to get the valves checked so I would like to get that done at the same time. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should take my bike? Thanks! -David
I know there are a few folks from Colorado here but have not seen them post in some time. Have you tried posting up over at VFRDiscussion.com too? I’ve seen the few CO folks over there posting recently.
I've got the skills (skilz?), tools and and recent experience doing all of the long-term maintenance jobs a 5th Gen needs to be tip top (I own 2 5th Gens, both purchased right here in Denver). If you can do your own maintenance work you can roll the money you would have spent on shop-time into parts for the bike, which is a big win. 5th Gen VFR800s are wonderful bikes but now that they are 20 to 22 years old they're a pretty "needy" bike to own. Maybe we should talk about your bike, meet, decide what should be done to your bike and if things look good I'd be willing to work on your bike with you.
