    Hello

My name is Robert and i live in New Zealand.
I have just a purchased a share in an NC-21.
Having completed an 11 hour drive yesterday to pick the thing up.

It appears it needs some work, it was last registered 12 years ago and may be missing a couple of parts.

After 20 years away from motorcycles i have returned. And can confirm everything the media said about 'born again riders' is true for me anyway.

My first bike after 20 years away was a 2015 hyosung GTR650. A friend of mine lent me a CBR250 MC-17 about 16 months after I get the GTR650, and it was so much fun to ride i brought one (MC-19) sight unseen, and with maybe 20 hours of my time i think i've ironed out the problems these bikes get from sitting and tidied a few issues that i think were there when it was parked up. I was very lucky the last owner took care of it and spent some money on it. I will be trying to get a warrent of fitness on it today, so here is hoping.

Back to the NC-21, i've noticed lately there are alot of these older small capacity 4 cylinder jap bikes in fair to terrible shape on sale for cheap. I think here in NZ, there are not alot of people that can fix or be bothered to learn to fix them or pay the massive cost of a professional, if you can find a good one. And then there's the $500 plus/year rego cost plus $60/yearly inspection fee. per bike. Which means if you have to pay for labour to get one going, there uneconomical to fix. $1NZ = $0.63US

Seems a shame really, while i understand motor cycles have moved along in the 35-25 years since then, these bikes can still deliver. I think i wanted something a little more difficult than the CBR was to get running, and they cost so little. So that NC-21 fit the bill.

I spose i can justify this time and expense because i've spent money and time in the past on things that have not delivered the fun playing around with these little old bikes does. At last count I had 5 motorcycles.....lol, of which only 2 run.

So here I am looking for information to help me get it usable. Not really sure what the big plan of the NC-21 is, alot hinges on if the engine is a runner and if I have the skills to get it going if it isn't.

    Take it easy

    Robert

    Heya Squirrrelman

If i had one that fit, maybe i would.

But my intention is get the thing to run first.

It cost me around $US200, so i'm limiting what i spend at this point.

    Cheers
