Hey you old shit! Just remember the war of 1812, you know the one you were in, is over. Don't you be lobbing dynamite and that other shit at us across the Niagara. We are friends now!

I'll be 64 in April and I just got my first VFR (2000). Also ride a Suzuki DR650 in both supermoto and dual-sport modes. Just got back into riding about three or four years ago after a 40+ year absence from motorcycling and am trying to make up for lost time. Multi-day travel involving mostly camping is my favorite modus operandi.

Depends on how you define "older," but from what I read, and from personal experience, seems like you can't swing a dead cat in a crowd of motorcyclists without hitting more older riders than not.

Happy Birthday squirrelman.... I'm an hour away... remember also that other thing we did during the War of 1812, we burned down the White House.... I'm guessing a few wouldn't mind a repeat performance these days? :Pound::Pound:
Anyway, hope to catch up one day.......:Canada:
My birthday is coming up March 1 for the big 7-oh.

love 2 c u show up here someday. have u ever attended the port dover event ?

walking on the beach next to fort erie, attacked several times during the war, i found a flint from a rifle which i believe was from an 1813 battle, so i own a small piece of history.

I did the Port Dover thing a couple of times in the past, now I tell everybody the best day to go is the 12th or the 14th, LOL. Not for me, but happy to go for some perch and pickerel for lunch. We'll have to hook up in Niagara Falls one day........

I only fantasize about getting fresh perch or pickerel out on the west coast. A fishmonger opened up just abut 1/2 mile from me here in Chilliwack several years ago and he told me he would be getting in weekly shipments of fresh pickerel. I was stoked. But he did not last long and he never did get in any pickerel that I was aware of. Fresh ling cod is a very close second to pickerel though, and that is fairly readily available here, always available on the docks in Stevston.

Years ago while living in Toronto, a bunch of rented a house boat for opening of the pickerel season. Great weekend, lots of beer, and we did manage to catch a few pickerel. I got to say, they tasted great when cooked before we left. Haven’t tasted anything better since!

I'll do the 7-0 near the end of the year. Dang shame that I was only able to put a few miles on the Y2K last year . Resolved to do better for 2020!

I get the opposite accusations, I was still in my 20s when I bought my first FJR1300 and everyone said it was an old man's bike.

When you count your age in quarter centuries and you are knocking at the door of the forth quarter or at some point through it.
