You did that yourself?! Beautiful!! That would be a hard color to match perfectly.

It looks like you have one of those passenger grab handles that attaches to the gas cap cover. Would you mind taking a few pics for me? I have a tank cover and there’s a small gap where your handle attaches. I thought about using one to fill that gap. A few from the side, rear and top would be great. I’d appreciate it!!

It was extremely difficult to match, 4 tries with sanding the failures off each. House of Color has the Brandywine that matched. The clear over really made it.

I do, it's my "Daughter handle". I have a tank cover too and there is a gap which is filled by the handle. I had difficulty with the stock fuel cover not opening far enough so I put on a Nimble non-locking cover. It has threaded non mounting holes that matched the handle. I also bought a Givi tankloc that just didn't work out so I'm sticking with the grab handle. I'll take some closer pics for you tomorrow. I will tell you tho no matter what you go for you going to need longer bolts than what you get with any of the above.

I’m not the only one who had that idea then. Looking forward to the pics!! What exact brand of handle did you get?

When I had my fairings made I had them match best they could the 86’ vfr750 RWB. I had that bike in my 20’s and I miss it everyday. Guess I’m trying to relive my 20’s in my mid-late 40’s. The red stripe didn’t come out right when they painted it so I’ll have to fix that. Adding it to the list... although I done most of the list already. Put on the emblems stickers today.

I have fond memories of that year VFR. I'm in my 50s and refuse to grow up. Love to see more pictures!

A few of my 86’ VFR750f, one of my 84’ VF500f and one of my 07’ CBR600rr I sold after 4 months about 3 years ago because it killed my back and shoulders after about 30 min of riding. It took me almost 2 years to find a decent 6th gen. Nothing in Spokane, WA I had to drive to Seattle, WA 350 miles away.

Thank you! Those sliders are rad, are they R&G? I removed the ones that came with my bike. It was a massive PITA I had to cut the off with a grinder! They were the ones that you gave to cut the fairings and the guy put a hole in the coolant tank. It uses the engine hold bolts to mount so I ordered the originals from Honda to replace the super long ones that mounted the slider. Still haven’t got those bolts in the mail yet...

Note: the fuel cap uses bolt holes at 12, 5 and 7 oclock. The rest are threaded and I used them to mount the handle. Covers the gap nicely.

The sliders are TRex. No cutting tho I can't get to the idle adjuster. No biggie. I believe I read about your having to cut those off. TRex uses the engine mounting bolts as well, I opted for grade 8 cad plated bolts from Fastenal however. I usually have to get all my parts & projects ordered in advance cause work has me away 12 to 16 weeks at a time.
