To everyone, I appreciate all of the time and posts on the site. I may not be back. I am at a very high risk of the virus. I am going to more than likely lose my job next week due to being in the restaurant biz. I have been at home for 10 days and the coming days will tell for all of us. I just wanted to thank you all on the website for your wisedom and friendship. I still own money on the bike and without a job which many may not have, I may have to try to sell it. I will keep trying to ride it until it is taken away! It is my only sanity riding right now. If things swing to the positive I will let you know. Keep the faith all and stay safe.

Don’t give up yet. Contact the lender on your bike and negotiate an extension, they probably have many customers in the same boat. Hopefully fearless leader’s rescue bill will be some help
to you. I feel the same way about riding, I ache from arthritis and the only time it feels good is when I am riding.

Good luck with the job. That's rough.
I agree, call your lender see if they will cut you some slack.

So sorry to hear this, hang in there, and don't sell the bike unless you really have to-good luck.

Stay Safe Bubba and stick around for the chat.. Sorry to hear about your situation and hope it improves. A few folk over here in same trade have started making ready meals for those who have to Isolate, its taking off pretty well. Working on the front line I am amazed how companies have tried to help out or appreciate what is being done. We went into a local store yesterday for a sandwich and were presented with Easter eggs as a token of thanks , its humbling. Its also terrifying.

Hold out as long as you Bubba, I know it's tough and scary but if you can try and take advantage of the SBA programs. My business partner and I just applied for two different SBA loans, we're hoping it'll help curb us hitting any savings we have set aside.

And as the saying goes..."You can check out any time you like but you can never leave"

Hold tough as you can Bubba. I agree with what has been said about the banks. If you just start missing payments, the lending institution has no other option than to take your bike away or call in your loan. But I am sure, they would rather get the money from you and allow you to keep your bike. The banks don't want bikes or cars. They want money and fair enough. That is the business they are in.

A personal experience, albeit in Canada. When I was oh so much younger, back in the 1970's, I was paying rent for an apartment which I had a one year lease on, and only half way through. I also had a car loan. And it was January, I was laid off from a business that is seasonally supported. I was expecting little work for the next three or so months, but still had these responsibilities. I went into the bank and explained my situation. They postponed two months payments and tacked it on the end of my contract. Of course it cost me a very little more in interest, but I was able to make the rent, put food on the table and kept my car.

Agreed, a few months and the uncertainty we are faced with are two totally different matters, but I hope your lending institution would take some time to try to work with you, IF, you choose to try keep the bike.

    Best wishes.

Wish I had remembered to keep the link. I saw something about financial help for restaurant workers.
Hope it helps, Bubba. Good luck. :)

I doubt if anyone will be repo-ing vehicles right now. Keep the bike. Hide if if necessary. Hell if I would get rid of it.
