So I have been a "New Member" here for 7 years, how does one advance in the ranks at VFRworld? Is there a breakdown of number of posts etc to get to each level?

I actually think it's kind of funny. I hope it's one of: 20 years registration, 2500 messages, or special vote by high VFRWorld council.

I don't have that kinda power. probably a good thing.

During the last platform swap out, several things have changed and a few of them are a little askew, if that is even a word. I have been a donator for over 10 years now I think but somehow I lost the ability to be labeled as an Insider. I had all the benefits, just not the label. Reg put something in there in its place a couple years ago and that seems to have stuck. But I think you are either a new member, a member, a moderator or an insider, and that's the limit at the moment.

I think it has something to do with Michael upgrading to a new software and it just left everyone at whatever they had at the time of upgrade and the new software doesn't auto-change based on anything. I looked around in the admin panel but I didn't notice anywhere that "New Member" is listed. I can see it under the name so it must be in there somewhere it will just take me a while to find...

Its not really a big deal. But gamification helps to build tighter online communities. I just thought it odd that I feel I have been here forever (and apparently I haven't, there are many many here much longer), and yet I still show "New Member", like I just joined.

Been riding motorcycles for 49 years, in order; enduro, UJM street, desert, scooter, cruiser, touring, dual sport, motocross and adventure. Decided to try a sportbike for the first time in my life while my body is still able to bend. Picked up a 5th Gen recently, just returned from a 3 day 1,300 mile ride and while still adjusting to the handling and ergos I'm really enjoying it. Not as cramped as I thought it would be and the 225-250 mile fuel range surprised me. Love the V4 spooling up.
