    Hey everyone,

I have a 2007 VFR800 that has a VFRness, a voltage LED, and two Powerlet outlets installed.

I'm in the process of installing the Roadstercycle Super Kit R/R, but I'm lost in the existing wiring.

I've added a photo of what it currently looks like. You may notice a 30A fuse block and some (extra?) wires in there. I'm not entirely sure what is added on and what is stock.

My understanding is that the old wiring becomes redundant and is wrapped up and no longer used. If that's the case, am I supposed to simply splice into the new wiring harness from RC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can clarify things or add more photos/videos if needed.

    Thank you!

First thing to do is pull off the Vfrness and put it in the scrap pile.......
I'll get photos and stuff tonight when I get to my PC at home.......
Which R/R did you get? Your gonna need a mount plate for it....

I picked up the FH020AA and the mounting bracket, as well.

After posting I had a look at the VFRness and figured out that it was the wiring loom in the picture. That all makes sense to me now (mostly).

While that problem is solved, a new one has taken it's place.

The VFRness is currently powering the Powerlets and a PCV. In theory, I don't think have the VFRness is a bad thing, but I have absolutely no idea how I would go about installing it to the new R/R.

    Any ideas?

You are powering the R/R directly from the battery with the Roadster cycle eliminating the need for the bike's wiring for that. You then locate the 3 yellow stator wires and connect the Roadster cycle harness to those. You do not need the VFRness, and should be able to find power feeds to the Powerlet and PCV in the upstream connector?

R/r hook up goes like below. Really you should pull the VFRness and add a proper Fuseblock/gang.

Doesnt the vfrness create a direct path to the battery from the RR via a fuse? Thats a good thing ?

WireMyBike, Joshua, “I am sorry but due to a fire in my shop I am no longer producing the VFRness at this time. I don't know for sure if/when I will resume production as most of my tools and supplies were lost in the fire.
The biggest issue the VFR has is piss poor grounding. If you add additional ground wires from the R/R to the frame it should help.
Most of the wiring, if damaged, can be replaced with off the shelf products, including the Main Fuse B holder.”
