1998 Gen5 - What Goes Into This Hole?

See attached picture, this is the rear brake pedal. Arrow points to mysterious hole. I have the Honda shop manual but it doesn't show this on the exploded diagrams. Thank you so much for looking!

 

I don't think that's the brake pedal, I think that's the footpeg bracket? And I think that hole is for a mounting bolt...

Its a locating dowel for the heelguard assembly

 

Samuel is correct. There is a socket head cap screw. You will need a light to see it and have to look way down the hole to see the head with the hex socket. I checked mine and could only see it using a light.

Part # 90001-KN7-670 BOLT, SOCKET (6 mm dia X 12 mm long) The bolt is the same for both sides of the bike.
