Got the new AT DCT home, just love it. The DCT is great, took a few km to get used to the full auto shifting. You can override it and you can also go full manual mode via paddle shifters on the left switch gear. Has a pile of electronic wizardry for different sport modes, rain modes, gravel, torque control, ABS bla bla bla.

deceptively fast, and handles like a dream.

its great having 3 bikes that are so different to ride

here are the 3 regular riders, Red, White and Blue

My buddy loves his AT DCT, says it suits him better than our other buddy's VFR1200X (it is a fatter/taller bike). I haven't ridden either..... I'm curious how the AT's engine feels and I have been offered a test ride.
Meanwhile, heading north perhaps on Aug. 1 weekend, any openings for a grand tour of your stable? Very impressive ya know.

Under normal circumstances, id welcome you (and anyone else) with open arms, however with COVID still ongoing we are still being very cautious. Even the guys that came to buy a couple bikes off me in the last 3 weeks have not been allowed in to the shop or any buildings . I brought the bikes out away from everything and everyone had to wear a mask if they were here. I only just got to see & hug my own daughter last week for the first time since January.

So, not that I plan on hugging you or anything, but at this point we are still exercising extreme caution. If we start to relax that and the province goes into stage 3 by then, we may be ok. Im less concerned than my wife is, however I have to respect and support the house rules.

Im normally a very social guy and not being able to show my bikes and chat with guys about them, is not usual for me at all. Guys that came to buy bikes asked to see the collection and I had to decline (I didnt like having to do that).

Well, another one came home with me this week. Ive been after this specific bike for over 2 years. The owner called me on Monday and said he was finally ready to sell. 2007 Aprilia RSV1000R Factory. One of only 2 brought into Canada in '07. 12,000km on it, never been down, immaculate. Needs a set of fork seals and a clutch slave seal, they weeping a bit.

Bought from the original owner and came with the section of the original shipping crate with "Aprilia" on it, original invoice. passenger seat, the OEM rear sets and passenger pegs (neither of which have ever been used). Bike also came from the dealer with the titanium Acrapovic factory pipes.

The bike is an absolute work of art, lots of carbon fibre (from the factory) and beautiful lines. PO was more OCD than me so thats the kind of guy you want to buy from.

LOL. they only look like chicken strips because the centre of the tire was the last to see the dusty road, the outside "Chicken strips" are actually melted rubber. PO had her out on a track day, he know's how to ride. unlike me, it wont see that lean angle with me onboard.

It was a steal of a deal (equivalent of less than $5000 US)
