There are 3 (I assume) vacuum ports near the rear of carb. I bought the bike with no air box or anything it looked exactly like the pic when I took the tank off. Do I need to do anything with these? Any help is appreciated

What kind of air filter is there? I have a k&n in the oem air box with no smog canister. The 4th vac line is capped off so it can be accessed for synchronizing.

There is none currently. I bought the bike, pulled the tank and this is what’s there. I was hoping I could get some good pod filters and bypass the air box but wasn’t sure what to do with those open ports in the pic

I would be on ebay looking for an airbox and then download a copy of the service manual to see how the hoses are hooked up.

Was it being ridden without any air filters?

I would look into getting a complete donor set of carburetors. Unmolested, or as they used to like me to say when I worked on airplanes, "undisturbed". Nothing works though like having "un-finger-fucked" carburetors.

it won't run right without an airbox, especially at slow speeds.
