I have a 1983 VF750F which has sat in the garage for 20 years.
I rebuilding & replacing anything that needs to be fixed.
My question is does anyone know what is the seal size for the crank for the left side alternator.
I had oil inside the alternator cover which I cleaned but when I push the bike around oil pours out of alternator location.
This leads me to think it is the seal.
I have looked in the Honda service manual & Clymer book which I have and can't seem to find this info.
Thanks for any help you can provide

It is normal to have some oil on the alternator side, it is not completely sealed off from the crankcase.

I know on my 600 Silver Wing, there is a deliberate oilway leading to the alternator and a tiny jet at the end of that which sprays over the top of the windings to keep them somewhat cool. Still cooked though. The connection to the crankcase oil feed is at 7 o'clock and the jet is at 1 o'clock in the pic below of the alternator cover, with the windings removed.
