On another forum, we have an annual Ontario event, and held it in Calabogie for 2017. One of the attendees knows the track manager personally and arranged a group of us would do a half dozen laps (escorted by said manager in a pace car). Interesting track, we did get up to some good speeds and had a great time on our ST's and FJR's, not your typical track bikes, lol. Had the whole track to ourselves, it certainly was fun.
I wouldn't mind a track day or three, but most tracks require bike prep I'm not prepared to do (remove mirrors, water as coolant, taping up lights, etc.). If you're going to do it regularly, well then OK.

Yea, Joe Barton is a young guy who raced that bike all over the UK a few yrs ago, he did very well. One of the guys form the NS400R forum owned & prepared/built the bike and Joe raced it

Just to wrap up this thread, I picked up my spare side panels from being spot painted today and I can 100% confirm that the Ford Sonic Blue Pearl is an exact match for the Candy Aleutian Blue. you cannot see where one starts and the other ends.

Thanks, my painter does nice work. Cost me equivalent of ~$100 USD to have them repaired and repainted.

I already had the paint, but very reasonable indeed

Nearly spent that much on colour matched cans, high build plastic primer, and clear coat

And all the other bits and bobs

About £80 so pretty much the same except for the skill set
