Up for sale is my VF500F Honda Interceptor. It is in the classic Red White and Blue color scheme. Located in Ontario, CA. This bike comes with an additional parts bike which is a 1984 interceptor.

I started with the 1984 over 10 years ago but about 3 years ago blew a head gasket on it. I got another 1985 that had a strong running engine but needed some bodywork then swapped some parts over. As you can see in the pictures, it is now one clean bike. Frame and drive train from the 1985 and body parts from the 84.

I also got the carburetor professionally cleaned and synced by Oscar's Bike and Jetski in Glendale, AZ. They specialize in older Japanese motorcycles and its mostly running good.

    The Good:
    -flushmount rear lights
    -k&n drop in air filter
    -lower threshold thermostat
-rad fluid switched to water wetter for cooler running Temps
    -brake and clutch fluid flush
-Rebuilt Master Cylinder for rear brake
-Includes an after market full fairing.
    -Current registration
    -Original toolkit included
    -New Grips
    -New Battery
-Clean title on both bikes with pinks on hand.

    The Bad:
-Rear brake only holds pressure for a couple days. The slave cylinder for rear brake needs to be rebuilt. I can flush the air so that it is safe for you to drive home.
-Front forks are due for a service, it can wait a bit and still functional but there is a slight leak.
-It seems to lean out when idling after its warmed up. If you put some choke on, it'll keep going when stopped at lights and what not.
-After I got it serviced, it was running great but it sat for a while. I was starting it and letting it run every couple of weeks or so but looks like the carbs may have gummed up a bit. I have been taking it for evening cruises to keep it running and have used up a tank of fuel and put in some fresh fuel.
-The beat up gas tank is on the 84 frame right now.

This is a great bike to learn how to ride and wrench on. With the parts bike you'll have everything you need to restore it. If you replace the head gasket on the 84 you can have two working bikes! I'll also include a repair manual. I'm looking to buy a 2014 VFR 800 but want to clear some room in the garage first!

I've priced the bikes to move so you're getting a great deal. These were one of the best handling bikes of their time and still plenty fast to go on the highway and commute. I have a truck so would be willing to deliver for a fee, or bring a truck and a driver to ride off yourself!

Test drives with proof of M1 License and funds.

    Make me an offer!

    -Richard
