Changed out the air filter on my 2007. First time done since new. Before people start jumping, it has only done just over 15,000km.
It actually didn't look to bad, apart from the wasp.

Then I went for my first ride of the season. Not been on it since October.... I HATE SNOW and minus stupid temps. Yesterday 13C and sun, today -21C and fucking blowing snow with gusts at 90 kph.

    Anyway, riding season is here.

Dropped her off to the shop for some new tire installation. I purchased the tires (Dunlop Roadsmart III's F&R) from J&P.
They're charging me $90 bucks per tire to put on. I feel like I'm being robbed, but I need them. In the last week or so, the weather has been consistently in the 70's.

Flushed the brake fluid to fix the rear wheel from seizing. Found out that the smc needs rebuilding. Next weekend bleeding should be a breeze now.

I slowly opened the passage door leading from the house to the garage, ever fearful of making disturbing noise to startle the beauty. As gently as I could, I pulled out my leathers and as soft as I could, pulled them over my thighs, arms pushed through the sleeves and gently up over my shoulders. She loves me in my leathers. Carefully I pulled my helmet on my head and dropped down the flip down dark shield to give myself that look of mystique for my girl. I slipped over to her, provocatively resting there with the covers hiding her beauty. Carefully I removed those covers to expose her smooth and beautiful face. I softly caressed her front fender. Such a thing of beauty her fender is. I walked around behind her and gave her a look over. She looks so sexy from behind. I just couldn't believe how fortunate I was to have her in y garage. With all the love I had, I threw a leg over her gorgeous body and whispered to her mirrors as I turned her key and brought her to life. She purred so contently. I twisted the throttle a few times which really fired her up. Then, I kicked that bitch into first gear, dumped the clutch and squeezed her lucious body between my legs and rode her like a cheap fucken two bit whore. What a lady!

If it makes you feel any better, I paid $50 and took the wheel to them. I'm about 6 hours north of you. Still outrageous but that seemed to be the going rate around me.

I don't have the proper tools to remove my tires but the story goes like this. My rear tire finally died on me as I reached my destination (tires were bald, I actually saw the wires......I knew I needed tires..) This particular shop was the closest to me at the time. I didn't wanna pay a towing fee taking her to my normal shop about 30 mins away.
I still didn't have any way of taking her to the closest shop and the current local towing company wanted to change me $100 just to go 3 miles up the road.
She sat at my Auntie's garage for about a week. I ordered my tires online and brainstormed about how I'm gonna get her to the shop. Got my tires & with my wife following closely behind me in the car, I used gaff tape and taped the majority of the rear tire and filled it with air. Rode to the shop, doing about 20-25 miles per (stopped 2 times to fill up the tire with air) made it to the shop safely. Saved a $100 bucks that I used to pay to get the new tires on. Probably not the smartest thing to do, but it worked.

Why didn't you just take the wheels off, put them in the car & drive there? No safety issues, easy, & cheap...

This is how to remove your wheels...

Yes you require a couple of tools.

However, the rear wheel bolts are 19mm so if you don't have metric the 3/4 wrench in your car will do the exact same task.

The original 02 body was undamaged but extremely faded. I picked this scheme partly because my other bikes are single colored and there are plenty of squids around here if I want to get rid of it. Fitment from this seller wasn't bad actually and the abs is pliable just like oem.
