Yuasa Looking for the oldest Battery still in use. If your batter is over 15 years old, they will replace it with a new one.

Oldest so far is 22 years......

Yuasa makes the best battery hands down......but fifteen years? I hope they can find it. They would have to pay my house off to get it as well for that advertising value. Free battery my ass.

I had one go about 12 years I think but not even close since. 5-6 years is about it now. I don't think they are as good as they used to be.

Like so many reputable brands- their image has been damaged by fakes largely emanating from web sources - the old adage still applies if it looks too cheap to believe then it may let you down sooner than you expect and only when you make a warranty claim you discover you have bought a fake. Any apparent "online" savings really have to be balanced against buying direct from a reputable distributor.

Obviously one must take care of a battery properly. The OEM Yuasa battery lasts the longest, should be the GS series made in their Taiwan facility (part numbers starting with GT, GY, etc.). They may be difficult to find and you'll pay a bit more. The company name is GS Yuasa.
Aftermarket quality is the Y series, made in their Pennsylvania facility (part numbers starting with YT, etc.).

Partzilla lists GT14-B4 to fit an FJR, e.g. Did not see GT series for a VFR, but try GT12-B4
