Thanks! Pretty excited. Sounds fucking ridiculously good.

Gave a good once over and went for a ride. Runs perfect. It will get a thorough going over this winter, but I'm gonna ride it this Summer and enjoy.

I'll update with some more pics this afternoon, got some fresh bugs to wash off from yesterday. About an 80 mile shakedown ride. Runs and rides perfect. Bike is nearly flawless, couple very minor things that I knew about prior to purchase. It sounds AMAZING.

It was a brave move for Cap to follow. The reality is that bikes this good just do not come around very often & so sometimes you have to take a leap. I for one am very glad he did. I'm just waiting on more pics .. with pop corn... lol

I got home late last night, delivering Chinese food to Grandma after work. More pics soon, I promise.

Yeah, NJ! I really don't like shipping bikes. I wasn't concerned about the pre-shipped condition of the bike. The owner was VERY upfront and super helpful. I knew she was a gem.

These are just not coming up here in the NW. There's been a couple, but they were not examples I was interested in owning. Did not want another project. Plus I would have paid close to $1000 more for this bike in this area. So even with shipping, I was looking just fine.

That is a very impressive machine.

I see the seat, vfr800 mirrors and can. Plus a side reflector just behind the fork.

What else has been done to it? What mileage? Tell us moreā€¦

It came with a stock seat too (which is still on the way due to a mix up by the bike shipping company). This seat has been slightly altered, but it feels like a pro job.

11K miles! 2nd seat cowl included. Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit. Otherwise, stock. Original mirrors were shipped to me too. I have some extra rear footpeg brackets that I have removed the footpeg portions. They are blended, nearly ready for some paint.

Gonna remove the PAIR system and replace the coolant o-rings while I'm in there this winter. Verify the jetting while I'm there too.

Just a comment on jetting.... On my old 4th gen I had for 7 years, it ran smooth as butter, just easy controlled power. And every time I would do a check on the plugs
to get a guess on fuel mixture, they always looked like the most perfect shade of tan you could possibly ask for...
Another maintenance note is I checked the valves at 24k and every one was near dead center of the spec or spot on...

I'm being a bit sentimental.....but your bike reminded me that the bike has kinda personal soul feel and such a jewel, Ducati could have designed it.
I love my 5th gen, but it doesnt have that certain feel to it......

    Enjoy that jewel sir....
    Cheers...

Modifying the passenger peg brackets to be solo. Here's the muffler side. This was pretty much the logical choice given the casting with the webs. This took a LONG time to look this good.
