Does anyone with an 86 have the measurement here? Between the "A" and the black gasket on the fairing, and also the measurement between the HONDA and the white stripe?

    Asking for a friend....

Dont have mine any more, but have a few photos after my "re-stripe" and re-clear. Kinda regret selling it now that I see these pics again

It came out looking pretty good!

Nice TLR200 Reflex back there also. I got to put one of those together new out of the box in '86.

Cool bike but we had a lot of trouble selling it at the dealership I worked at. Nobody was into it for some reason. I though it was pretty awesome.

Way to go, JM. You took the plunge and got it done. You should be pleased with your effort.

My painter is having family problems so it took a while to get the tank back. She did a great job on the clear coat.

It will be almost 2 years since I started this thread and I am still not done with the bike! It has been fun and looking forward to more.

Jim, for some of the obscure stickers, I look at images of the promo bikes & also in the manual for placement. Again don't forget these items were not put on with millimetre precision. Just make sure that what you do on one side, you do the same on the other..

Thanks Pete! I am looking for some of the obscure decals now, it is like a treasure hunt.

Wait... I know you like stock but... you're not gonna apply the stickers we all wished we removed when they were still removable are you? Before they got sun-baked and permanent? Just get them and sell them with the bike if that ever happens.

You still have a ways to go before you beat my monument to project inefficiency and ineptitude. Don't ever give up.

Yeah, probably not going to happen! And certainly not a priority right now. My priority is just getting a bike to ride.

Looks like my HAWK is going to win in this race.

YES....you have had some epic ordeals on pretty much everything you have going right now.

I was not around to see the VFR800 you had but I am sure it was a hell of an effort.

Thank you sir! Still need to do the fairing, probably going to be another $300.00 to get that done. This may likely be the worlds most expensive VF500F when I am done. I have no idea it would turn into this. But here we are!
