Hello from new member… quick question!!!

    Hey everyone!!!

    I am very happy to become a part of this community. I am looking to get a vfr, and I have a question regarding year models that possibly meet specific criteria.

    Is there a year range and specific model that has each of the following:
    1 - gear driven cam
    2 - 180 degree crank
    3 - double round headlights

    this would be my dream bike, so I hope someone can let me know if this exists. I am most interested in the double headlights and 180 degree crank, if this is a possibility.

    Otherwise, I think I’ll look for a vfr1200 with hard side bags and a tail bag. Anyone looking to sell one??

    if you're not afraid of carbs, look for a VFR from 1994-1997, one of the best all-arounders ever made.

    forgetabout the crank, nobody cares.

    as a first bike the VFR1200 might be alot too much.

    I’m good with carbs, and I agree about the 1200 being a monster. Its torque curve is near vertical at low rpm, which matches the curve on my 2013 cb1100. However, the 1100 starts to flatten out around 5-6k rpm while the 1200 continues near vertical for a few more thousand rpm. This similarity is why I’m looking at the 1200, but I’d love to find an older bike with more character.

    In addition to the cb1100, I have a 2002 cb750, a 2007 vtx1800, and a nut and bolt frame off restored 1981 CBX.
