Hey folks, I just picked up a 95 VFR750 last weekend.
    Most bizarre story ever:
State troopers call the towing company to pick up an abandoned bike on the side of the road. Tow truck driver asks where the rider went, as the bike still had the key in it. Troopers say, no rider, no accident, no information available, they just found it as is. Bike runs, has crash damage to the fairings but that's about it.
So I bought his from the tow yard after they got a new title from the DMV. Its not a salvage title, no brands, no liens, they got the title as an abandonment, which happens sometimes, but not very often for running drive-able vehicles. I was half expecting to find a kilo of coke under the seat (no such luck). I couldn't test ride it as the front valve stem was leaking and would not hold air, so maybe the previous owner crashed because of low air pressure?
Anyways the engine runs decent, but the idle is a bit high and got bad rev hang, so might just need a cleaning and lube of the linkage. Other than the damaged fairings on the left side, the bike is really clean for having 55.5k miles. Chain and tires are perfect, looks like it was garaged all its life. Seat not ripped, no dents in the tank. Next to the Daytona 675 in the garage, waiting for its turn on the lift for a once through before it goes out on the road. All for $2k. In todays crazy market, thats not too bad; not a steal but its a solid bike.

Someone needs to explain to me how to post images. I can't get any link to work or upload images to the local album. Urg!

I was able to upload to my album, but only from a local machine, not from imgbb.com. probably user error

Reg71 is in charge of that. Send him a message and he will take care of it.

I'm seeing the photos. It looks like you scored a great deal. it may have some damage to the fairings, but for an abandoned bike it at least has fairings!

Welcome to VFRW btw. What other bikes have been in your riding past and present?

    Started long ago on a virago 500, then a 8? Vf700f, then a cbr600f hurricane, 74 TS185, CBR600f2, CBR 600f4i, ninja650, klx250, VT500ft, maybe some I have forgotten in there too. Current in the stable is a 06 Daytona 675, 85 XL350r, 96 XT225 and now the VFR750. Really hoping it can be my forever bike.
I'm working on the XL350, new plastic bits and lock cylinder. Track day next week for the D675!

Took it to the track today. Got a ton of look and attention. The tires were really awful as they are dual compound sport touring Bridgestone. IMG_20211219_105757745.jpg compared to my D675, it's a overweight cruiser. The braking from over 100mph is terrible, but the engine ran strong.
