Hope everyone is having a good start to 2022. I've just been out for a good fun 300km run on my 86. Just as hot as it looks, near 30C.

Definitely ATTGATT; 30C is ok with a mesh jacket and Kevlar jeans plus gloves and boots.

Im still in snow here in Seattle. Its raining now tho. POURED last night.

Will be weeks of heavy rain before I'm taking any bike out on these disgusting roads now.

Decided to keep the STi in the driveway when it first snowed and before the sand and salt got poured. Likely for the best, but its so fun.

First time with the Element in the snow. That thing with AWD does awesome. Shitty Cooper tires that came on it somehow do better in snow than rain.

-23C here this morning, cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey.

Oh, and I will admit I have never heard of the ATGATT acronym till now, I had to look it up. Im a believer in ATGATT.

    I confess.... I'm MTGMTT.

If I'm bopping down to my buddies on the 1964 Honda Touring 90 or the 1967 CL90 Scrambler, I'm wearing jeans, simple motorcycle leather or denim jacket, simple motorcycle boots and simple leather motorcycle gloves. BUT... Full Face Arai every fucking place I go.

Any of my "big" bikes, I'm in all race quality leather.

I know shit can happen anywhere, but I'm not rockin' full "race" leathers, boots and gloves on "Cream Puff". I'd rather clean a strawberry.

Flame on if needed. I know there's some of you that make "concessions" sometimes too.

Yes some concessions. I only ride the Hawk and VFR so I have 3 levels of gear.

Quicky hardware store: jeans, full armor jacket, gloves, full Arai, any shoes laying around. 10miles total.
Performance test or actual cruise: full armor jacket, pants, gloves, full Arai, and light armor shoes. As little as 3 miles to 60 miles or more.
Track day (rare): My custom 1pc race suit, back protector, rib protector, race boots, race gloves and full Arai.

My real concessions are shoe and pant type. Otherwise I wear all the gears. :)

I don't live where anything less than a 40hp is viable. Hawk is riding a fine line.

Just so you don't think I get all my culture from yogurt containers, the proper quote is from Charlie Farquharson (great Canadian Don Harron)..... "cold enough to freeze the knots off a blue spruce". Hee Haw! :D

It was -15C here in the sunny south this morning.

Mexico, riding to the bar on my mx'r. Board shorts, sleeveless tee, tennis shoes with no socks, offroad helmet and gloves. That is a whole lot of wrong, but it feels so right.

Happy New Year. When I first started riding it was ATGATT. But I have to admit, that has deteriorated to SGATT. Except once in Baja. We rode a couple blocks from the hotel to some dive for dinner, then back. Shorts, T shirt and cross trainers. No helmet or gloves. Oh! The shame of it all.

I have been known to ride my 150cc Vespa around the suburb in shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, open-face lid and vented gloves, so no judgements from me. On my real bikes I always have proper boots and gloves, back protector, full face lid and kevlar jeans/vented armoured textile jacket or full armoured textile suit. I save my leathers for the track. Had a spin in 33C weather today on my MT-10, perfectly pleasant as long as I kept moving... IMG_2742.JPG
