Hi, Another new findings about my VFR ,Recently I realised that Rats like my VFR ,as this saturday As soon as I started the bike I saw some fluid leaking under the fairing, I think it is more left side . turned the switch off and parked the bike to figure it our , then I realised that under my bike there were some chewed black pieces of compresed plastic material and realised it might be a rat found a warm place to rest in side the fairing and became hungry and so the rest of story , I am planing to remove the fairings to see if I am able to see it. I have never removed the fairing and can not find any videos , I can probably do it just being careful but prefer to know if there are any catch and tricks and if there are any step by step guide for that , probably will order Shop or service manual if needed .
In case the radiator hose , either from tank to radiator or from radiator to the block is checwed by rat , where is better to buy the hose? OEM or any generic Car Part store sells them ? I have seen on ebay some complete set coming from china with different colors , but I donot know about that .
Please share with me what you think about this . My VFR is 2014 with 6000 miles , new tires and battery , and never seen other than honda dealership , should I tow it there or I can do It , My skill to service and profecioncy is OK , I can use wrenches and use tools and have done many services including valve adjustment on my other bikes V strom 1000 and CB1100.
    Thank you ,
    Ride safe , Ride long:):):)

You’re going to want to remove the middle section which is easier if you take the lower off too

Pretty straightforward as long as you don’t forget to undo the popper clips on the underneath, the middle section slides into the bottom with tabs

The inner cowl needs to come off too, there’s a single bolt and 3 popper clips, for the difficult to reach ones a small Allen key in a pair of mole grips is perfect

Merry Christmas all and happy Holidays , I was abkle to pull the right side fairng and lower cowling and mesh fairing , I can see that one of the hoses for radiator overflow is chewed , but Upon start , it was not the plcae whic was leaking , probably the one coming form overfolw tank to radiator to feed the radiator , I was able to move the Gas tank in maintanance mod , but did not disconect the electric socket and the one going to fuel pump , There are who hoses ,and one is probably chewed too , it is long and I think is for air vacume breathing . Do you think I need to remove the gas tank completly?
who to disconect those 2 sockets?
the two hoses coming form water overfolw tank to Radiator are hiden some where in the middle not exactly to the right side , but a little in the middle , who suould I access there?
I can confirm that California Mouses Love VFR Anti freese and radiator hoses .

I was able to find all the chewed hoses and replace them , too many to count, including the radiator to engine , radiaor to radiator reserve tank , radiator to waterpump, gas tank evap. , Breather hoses . used genion honda , some used OEM hoses from ebay , and many after market hoses bought from auto zone. followed the repair book , the leaks are gone , bike started and ran beutifully for minutes , after initial smoke from engine and exhast from previous leaked , I washed the area and started again , to tired to put the fairings back today . will change the oil and filter and put back the fairings next weekend .
will also put the tall givi windshiled and Trex no cut frame sliding and lower peg and center stand next weekend.
