Oh yeah, forgot 95 was the first year of that headlight. I installed one of those small Honda lights set back behind the windshield inlet on my VF1000F and relocated the horn. Looks pretty cool.

I’ll keep an eye out for a 93/94 that needs help…. They come up once in a while. Usually covered by a blue tarp and a dog water bowl next to them.

How is the riding position? I am going to look at one next week. Just didn't know how much wrist weight to expect. Sorry Stray...lol

It’s a sporty position with weight on the wrist … not for long rides.
    But ooh what a ride !!!!! :)

Pretty sporty, like sd said. Not as bad as the RC51. Harder you ride it, the more comfortable it becomes.

I put the first ones together out of the crate. They got real test rides for sure, not just alley laps that some bikes got. I can still smell the cosmoline burning off of new bikes.

    LOL PDI baby!!

I got in trouble with the owner of our local shop because the NEW bikes were being delivered to the new owners, without chicken strips and nearly 2 miles on them. lol I had to change my route for less aggressive riding and less new mileage. Thus I practiced stoppies instead....just making sure the bikes stopped. :)

    Cosmoline..mmmmm

    Urban tiger indeed!!!

Stock tires, two miles, no chicken strips, brand new brakes. You don't wanna know what I'm thinking. Back to the regularly scheduled programming.

I remember putting together the first ST1100 ABS/TCS/LBS. It was just the "Alley Route". Went to the end and turned around. It was a little cold and damp... and I thought, "Here we go. Gonna find out."

Grabbed second gear and approached the end of the alley and grabbed the biggest fucking hand / foot full of everything. Hero / Zero scenario...

    "ghaghaghaghaghagah"

Look over at my friend who is standing right there on the sidewalk, "That's pretty fucking cool".

That being said.... those fucking systems have so many components, I purposely sought out the NON version ST1100 and HATED working on the my friend's 2002 VFR ABS, the SFS... Stupid Fucking Spaceship.

I did a 600 mile check on a new CB700SC Nighthawk S, (way back in the 80's). Did the "back alley" test drive.

One of our idiot mechanics did not tighten the oil filter down tight enough. It left a trail of oil spray all the way down the street and I almost wrecked as the now oil covered rear wheel slid when I was stopping. By then the header / exhuast was oil soaked and started smoking like hell.

All this when on while the owner was in the waiting room. We quickly pressure washed the bike and refilled it with oil.

The owner was a power lifter and we thought for sure he was going to go 'roid rage" on all of us. But he never caught on.

I got plenty of PDI "incident" stories also LOL. We topped out every scooter Honda built at the time. Surprising how fast the 250's were!

Wow crazy thread hijack! Sorry about that.

Elite 250 can haul ass. We worked on a bunch of Aero 125 too, 2-strokes. They wer FUN. The Aero 80s were fun too.

YES! That Aero 125 was a one year wonder (1984 I think) and it was fast as shit. We knew we would never see it again in the Honda line up as it was too fast for the target market. AND Honda was going 4 stroke on every thing about that time. We also sold a metric shit-ton of the Aero 80's. I lived in a college town.

Yeah that Elite 250.....It would go AND stop. Great little unit. I am pretty sure I saw 75 MPH on one, but my memory is foggy these days.

Yep, 1984. One popped up around here a couple months ago. Low mile but wasn't cheap. I still almost bought it.
