One sunny day back in 92 I came home from my local dealer with a brand new left over 1991 VFR. it was my first real modern motorcycle and a lot of ground with it over the next 6-7 years before I made the mistake of selling her. Shiny red Italian machines distracted me for while but I always regretted letting the VFR go down the road with a new owner. One thing notable about my VFR was that I had fitted it with Brembo cast iron rotors with Gold line calipers and matching master cylinder. Fast forward some 24 years later and many motorcycles in and out of the garage and find myself once again owning a 3rd gen model, this time a 90' in 92 trim. With my attention once again focused on a VFR I hit the forums searching for 3rd Gen content. just for shits and giggles I searched for a 91 vfr750 with brembo rotors & calipers and this popped up. https://www.vfrdiscussion.com/index.php?/forums/topic/96244-rescuing-a-91-vfr750f/ With me being in MD and the VFR being in VA. I'm confident this my old 91 VFR. I mean how many 91 VFR's with Brembo brakes in the Mid Atlantic could there have been, Same Yosh pipe too. When it left my hands it was in pristine condition, lord only knows what happened to up before it's current owner saved it. I got a 91 dressed in 92 colours, she is "First Wife" had her for over 25 years give or take. 85,000 mile bike and runs better than my other gen3 that has 35,000 miles. I saw that write up a while ago, I especially liked the way the doode did the elbows for the fuel lines, he schooled me into a different way of thinking, very cool.
