I was sitting here thinking about the day's to do list and started thinking about the Yellow VFR800.
Over all the years the VFR750 or VFR800 was produced I could only remember two years the VFR was made with Yellow paint ( in North America ), The rest of the world I think had every colour possible and than some.
I remember over the years the VFR was produced here in Red ( of course ), Candy Red, Tri colour for 25th, Silver, White, Black, Gary, etc but no Yellow, except for Canada in 1999 the VFR800 was Pearl Yellow and the following year in 2000 it was Pearl Yellow in the U.S.
I started trying to found production numbers for the U.S. and Canada but there was nothing that I could find
So it will be interesting to see what you guys remember

I don't exactly know the answer to it but I was fortunate enough to buy a 1999 VFR in yellow with only 7249 kms. It was like going back in time when I first went to see it. I could feel my jaw drop as I was astonished how clean it is. There isn't even a scratch.

    Hey!
You, sir, need to post a new thread in the Introductions Forum. Where you can tell us all about your low kms VFR. While your doing that upload some photos of that super clean ride.

Over the past few months I have been searching the webb trying to find production numbers for the VFR800 or other VFR's
To be honest I have had no luck, which got me thinking at the very least, where was the VFR built.
Was it built solely in Japan at one of Honda's factories for the world markets or was it built in different parts of the world based on the different markets.
The two VFR's I have were both built in Japan.
Does any of the members have a VFR built else where?

I believe anything that starts JH2 is built in Japan. The Goldwings that were built in Marysville Ohio were 1HF I think I remember.

    Oh, yep.

I think all VFRS were built in Japan.

When it gets down to it I believe you are ready, I will be surprised if there was main line production for the VFR in anyplace but Japan
But there are exceptions in everything

I knew that once and forgot about it. Thank you!

So... not an "import" but still made as a 700. I wonder if there are 1987 JH2 RC26?

Has anyone come across a link to a video of the VFR750 or VFR800 being built on the assembly line?

Not much out there in U Tube land that I can find on the production of the VFR750/800
So far the best I have found is this video on building the 1989 RC30 ( VFR750 ), not a VFR800 but still super cool

If you like engine cutaways, I vectorized the 5th gen engine cutaway illustration from the service manual.
    https://vfrworld.com/threads/5th-gen-engine-cutaway-from-service-manual-vectorized.59592/

If someone really wanted to, they could probably take the vector file to a vinyl shop and have them print out a garage wall sized decal.
